The Kresala Basque Dance Company was founded in 1968 under the artistic direction of professional dancer and choreographer Gene Yurre.
The artistic program prepared for the Festival includes dances such as:

  • “Amoria and Dolore” – a dance creation inspired by ancient music that evokes Elkano’s first circumnavigation of the world, at a time when dances were part of cultural expression as a historical reference.
  • “Hitaz orhoit” – a work created in memory of the invisible victims of barbarism and injustice, overwhelmingly starring women, forgotten for centuries among the dark folds of history.
GURU – The Arts Hub

The ensemble is a mirror of India’s colorful heritage and cultural activities. GURU has become a space to share dance, music, and other artistic talents globally. The ensemble has provided a national and international platform for thousands of eminent Indian artists. GURU performs various folk dances from Indian culture. They also perform a few creative, unique, and innovative traditional dance forms like Artistic Yoga Dance and Malkhamb Dance.

GURU has participated in over 60 different festivals in many countries worldwide, including Canada, France, Czech Republic, Spain, Thailand, China and more.

Bailarte Creativos is a dance company, recognized for its original, high-quality, and professional offerings. Their mission is to promote the cultural identity of the country through the dissemination of folk dances, thus strengthening the sense of belonging and recognition of their roots.

They specialize in creating shows as artistic and cultural services, in addition to promoting training opportunities. Each production is born from the creativity and talent of outstanding artists, committed to transmitting and spreading the knowledge and essence of Colombian traditions.

Ballet Saly Velingara
Senegal, Mbour

Originally from Cayor, a historic province of royalty, the musicians of Saly Velingara are descendants of the griots – guardians of oral tradition and promoters of cultural activities. With their inventive, imaginative, and creative genius that defines artists, they are individuals navigating between tradition and modernity. These itinerant ambassadors of rhythm and sound enjoy a well-established reputation, shining brightly in Senegal. These musicians reinterpret the traditional percussion of Senegal’s diverse peoples in an original dialogue where rhythms, dances, and songs intermingle to form a captivating spectacle of rare intensity, conveying a universal message of peace and fraternity.

Akademsko Drustvo „NOVI BEOGRAD”
Serbia, Belgrade

The folk dance ensemble “Novi Beograd” was founded in 1974. Since then, it has given many concerts in various European countries, including Italy, Spain, Hungary, France, Belgium, Slovakia, Germany, Greece, Austria, Poland, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, and Russia, as well as at their international festivals.

The ensemble consists of about 40 dancers and musicians, presenting dances, customs, and costumes from different parts of Serbia.

Folklore Group POKOLENIA
Poland, Biłgoraj

Folklore Group POKOLENIA consists of adult dance enthusiasts, residents of the city of Biłgoraj and the surrounding area, who have dedicated their family and professional lives to Biłgoraj.

They have been operating at the Biłgoraj Culture Centre for over 10 years. Currently, around 40 people dance in two groups.
Folk dance unites the group, which enhances city, commune, and provincial events with its performances. Due to the high quality of its presentations, the group is also eager to perform abroad. The group has performed in Hungary, Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, Germany, Lithuania, Belarus, and Slovakia.

SHAMROCK
Poland, Suwałki

The SHAMROCK band will transport us directly to the Emerald Isle – to Irish pubs, mysterious ruins, and the land of dancing jigs and reels. Ola and Maciek, a pair of Irish dancers from the prestigious McGahan Lees Irish Dance Poland academy, will join this extraordinary atmosphere.

SHAMROCK – a group formed in Suwałki, electrifies the audience with its energy! Their music is Celtic classicism in a modern rendition, brimming with joy and vibrancy. Their album Celtic was nominated for a Fryderyk, and for years they themselves have been inspiring and spreading love for Irish music.
