Eurofolk 2024 – participants

Cultivating Polish culture for more than 90 years, the group maintains, through cultural activities such as dances and educational workshops, the Polish customs and traditions wherever it goes. AURESOVIA is composed of 70 dancers, divided into three categories for child, youth and adult. The group plays a key role in the education of children and young people through art, culture and folklore. The group actively participates in cultural events in Brazil and abroad – Argentina and Uruguay.

The group was founded in Strażnice (Southern Moravia) in summer 1969, by a group of young enthusiasts for traditional singing, dancing, who were interested in the history of their hometown. And so, it continues till today, the Żerotin group has approximately 30 members aged between 15-35 years. Strażnice is considered as the centre of folklore and folk culture of the Czech Republic.
The ensemble is mainly focused on the local Strażnice region, well known for its typical dance danaj, then swifter dance trasak and by verbunk dance, which is only danced by men and is protected by UNESCO intangible heritage list.

SMA LABSCHOOL CIRENDEU is one of the best and famous Schools in Jakarta.
The group was established in 2000.
The objective of the group is to educate, promote and preserve the folk and traditional dance from Indonesia. Further to that is to encouraged the new generation, especially youth to love their culture such as the customary that they performe continuously in their life.

Nairobi Dance Ensemble is a group of folk dancers, musicians and acrobats.
As cultural ambassadors their aims are to educate, preserve and recollect the richness of their national heritage through music and dance.
The reason why Nairobi dance troupe is unique is because it’s not a single ethnic tribal troupe; it is a composition of artists from different tribes of Kenya. Their performance is a collection of dances and music from almost all communities in Kenya and other parts of Africa.

Ballet Aztlan is a non-profit organization founded in 2002 by teacher and choreographer Josue Nieto.
Their mission is to promote Mexican culture through music and folk dance to the largest audience with a colorful and educational program.
They also have International Mariachi Aztlan, which consists of 20 musicians dedicated to the rescue and dissemination of traditional Mexican music. The artistic program prepared for the festival will be a sample of native and current traditions with a punch of new choreographies that will make the Zamość public excited.

Song and Dance Ensemble “Pruszkowiacy” was established in Pruszków at the turn of 1978/79. During its 45 years of existence the ensemble has toured both in Poland and abroad, presenting folklore from over a dozen regions of Poland, as well as from other countries. It is comprised of nearly 200 members in various age groups. The ensemble is accompanied by a folk orchestra or a children’s/youth band.

Ballet Folklorico Sabor Boricua is a ballet in which traditional folklore combines with folk music of the 20th and 21st centuries. The ensemble offers workshops, talks and shows of their music and dance. The group consists of young people and adults who want to show their talent and show Puerto Rican traditions. The artistic program prepared for the Festival contains three main styles of folklore: traditional country basic, afro caribbean bomba dances, plena and salsa.
